This includes information related to: legal holds, ongoing investigations, CSAM reports (retained as required by law), and records needed to enforce our Terms of Service.

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13.

Unsaid enables anonymous posting to create a safe space for authentic expression. When you post anonymously:

- Your trust tier badge may be displayed without revealing your identity
- We may disclose your identity if required by law, court order, or to protect safety
- Anonymity does not protect illegal activity or content that violates our Terms of Service
While we protect your anonymity from other users, you should be aware that complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed, particularly in cases involving illegal activity or imminent harm.
13. Content Moderation and Safety
To maintain a safe environment, we use various methods to moderate content and detect violations:
- Automated Detection: We use automated systems, including hash-matching technology (such as PhotoDNA) and machine learning, to detect prohibited content including CSAM
- Human Review: Trained moderators review flagged content and make enforcement decisions
- User Reports: We review reports submitted by users
Content and account information related to violations may be retained for safety, legal compliance, and law enforcement cooperation purposes, even after account deletion.
We report all apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A). These reports include relevant content and account information.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy
- Notify you by email (if you have provided one) or through a prominent notice on the Service
- Provide you with the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective
